Compassionate Healthcare for Haiti’s Most Vulnerable

Access to quality healthcare remains out of reach for many families in Haiti. Poverty, limited medical resources, and ongoing instability often prevent people from receiving even the most basic care.

To help meet this urgent need, the Missionaries of Mary, Queen of the Apostles established the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Health Center on July 16, 2024. Guided by a commitment to serve with compassion, dignity, and excellence, the Health Center provides affordable, accessible healthcare to underserved communities in Port-au-Prince.

Our goal is simple: to ensure that every person who comes through our doors is treated with dignity, respect, and compassionate care.

Comprehensive Care Close to Home

The Health Center provides a wide range of essential medical services, including:

  • General medical consultations
  • Professional nursing care
  • Dental care
  • Ophthalmology (eye care)
  • Maternal and child health services
  • Vaccinations and preventive healthcare
  • Medical laboratory testing and diagnostics
  • Ultrasound services
  • Electrocardiograms (ECG)
  • Radiology (X-ray)
  • Community pharmacy services

By bringing these services together in one location, patients can receive the care they need without the burden of traveling to multiple facilities.

Building a Healthier Community

The work of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Health Center extends beyond treating illness. Through preventive care, health education, vaccinations, and ongoing follow-up for patients with chronic conditions, the Center is helping strengthen the long-term health of the communities it serves.

As the ministry grows, the Missionaries of Mary, Queen of the Apostles envision expanding the Health Center to include hospitalization rooms, a surgical operating room, and a dialysis unit so that even more patients can receive specialized care close to home.
